Getting a kick out of it

So this is the biggest milestone for us so far; my husband got to feel the baby kick for the first time yesterday. He was so anxious about it because I've been feeling him since 16 weeks and he'll put his hand on my stomach and not get anything. It started out as what felt like little bubbles popping so it was only really felt from the inside anyway; but has transformed over the last few months into outright jabs.

The kicking has just become regular over this last month, since about 22 weeks. The only problem is the baby seems to move at like 9am and then around 1 and again at 4 or 5. He only moves when I'm at work. Maybe if I have a jellybean or something especially sweet in the evening, he'll give a little jab, but it's just a little movement that isn't reoccurring, and half the time my husband isn't home in the evening anyway(music biz, weird schedule.)

It's so exciting that my husband finally got to experience this, like it's more real now. And just last week, while in the bath tub, I noticed my stomach stretch in opposite directions because of little man. I look forward to Adam getting to experience that, so weird and yet completely amazing at the same time. And speaking of amazing, look at this belly!

  1. I LOVE THE KICKING!! It's my favorite part... But I never felt bubbles or flutters. This kid went straight to the jabs... fuuuuudge.
